Giving Back
A founding ethos of Simon Biology Travel is to give back to the places we visit, empowering the local people to improve their own community.
Here are three ways we do that:

In coordination with local schools, government, tribal, and civic leaders in Tanzania, we have purchased ingredients from local farmers that are used to prepare fresh hot lunches for over 1,300 Massai elementary school children for the last 2 years. These children, who walk up to 5km and spend 10 hours in school, would otherwise go without food all day.

To help reduce the global impact of our travel, every Simon Biology Travel trip will offset our carbon emissions by funding Renewable Energy Credits. Full carbon offsetting for all travelers is included in the trip.

Simon Biology Travel always partners with members of the local community. We employ local tour guides, stay in local hotels, eat in local restaurants, and visit craft vendors. We do our best to encourage ecotourism and to promote the local community.
