THE IDEA IS SIMPLE
- Hillsboro Food Pantry serves over 120 families from five area towns each week. The Food Pantry is in dire need of fresh produce and meat to provide those families with nutritious meals.
- Farmsteads of New England provides a vocational, therapeutic, and residential farming environment for people with autism and other developmental disabilities.
- The APPLE Fund links these two organizations through an endowment that send funds directly to the Food Pantry every year to purchase locally produced, nutritious food and distribute it to those in need.

MISSION STATEMENT
The APPLE Fund:
- provides funds to the Hillsboro Food Pantry for the purchase of locally grown produce.
- provides the Hillsboro Food Pantry with funds (as available after the procurement of produce) for the purchase of locally raised meat, eggs, and/or dairy.
- encourages an ongoing relationship between the Hillsboro Food Pantry and Farmsteads of New England as well as other local farms.
- is a permanent endowment managed by the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation, one of America's oldest and largest community 501(c)3 charitable foundations.
PURCHASING POWER!
Every $25 that we raise provides 1 week of produce to 1 family FOREVER.
Every $250 that we raise provides 1 entire season of produce to 1 family FOREVER.
We reached our initial goal of a $30,000 endowment, yielding an annual $1,200 donation. Using this, the Hillsboro Food Pantry purchases locally grown, seasonal produce to every family it serves FOREVER. Amazing!
Continuing to grow the APPLE Fund enables the Hillsboro Food Pantry to provide even more locally grown, nutritious food to their clients, including locally sourced meat, eggs, and dairy. Our current goal is to reach a $50,000 endowment.
