The idea is simple:

  • Hillsboro Food Pantry serves over 120 families each week and is in dire need of fresh produce and meat.
  • Farmsteads of New England is an occupational therapy farm that provides dozens of developmentally disabled adults the opportunity to grow produce and raise farm animals.
  • The A.P.P.L.E. Fund links these two organizations through an endowment that permanently provides funds for the Food Pantry to purchase locally produced healthy food and distribute it to those in need.
